2018-2019 Morse School Open House / Curriculum Night

This year’s Morse School Open House/Curriculum Night took place on Wednesday, September 26th from 6 – 8PM. All parents and caregivers were invited to meet with their child’s classroom teacher, connect with other parents, and gain an understanding of what students will be learning and how they will be learning, during the coming school year. Some changes were made to the Open House format of the past.
This year we held a single open house/curriculum night for all families grades JK-K. The night started with all the adults (parents, caregivers, and staff) for a brief welcome from Dr. Leith in the auditorium. Afterwards, parents and caregivers had the opportunity to head to their child’s or children’s classrooms, for a 40 minute session. At the end of the session they headed to the lobby to meet the specialists and Community partners (Music, Art, Technology, Special Education, OT, PT, etc.) and pick up some helpful materials. Or they attended session #2 in a classroom for another of their children. It was very well attended with over 160 student’s parents or caregivers in attendance.
