fountain.jpgThe Morse School educates its students within a nurturing, safe and stimulating environment. Our Curriculum is aligned with both the Massachusetts State Frameworks and the Common Core Standards, and is infused with tenets from the Core Knowledge scope and sequence. This ensures that our students receive instruction that is rich in English Language Arts, Math, Science, Humanities, and the Visual and Performing Arts. Students at the Morse are encouraged to develop their academic abilities through inquiry, analysis and critical thinking. They gain a solid foundation of knowledge and are expected to develop respect for self and others, a sense of civic responsibility, and an appreciation for people of diverse backgrounds and beliefs.

Our Expanded fine arts gen_info_girls.pngofferings include Kodaly Music classes in grades JK-2 and Art Studio Drawing Labs for students in grades 3-5. In our large school garden, students develop a love of nature and appreciation of healthy eating. Students also benefit from the research-based Positive Behavior Intervention and Support Program, which views behavior as a skill that can be taught. We value our families as partners in education, and offer monthly workshops on learning topics. Recent examples included, “How to Motivate Your Writer At Home” and “Come Make a Mess with Math: Learn Problem-Solving Strategies to Help your Child at Home.”
