Who is Tom Turkey? Tom is sadly a featherless turkey who moves into the Morse School Main Lobby for the month of November. During this month the
entire Morse community is encouraged to read books and purchase paper feathers. One paper feather costs twenty –five cents.
These paper feathers are then added to Tom Turkey giving him a big & beautiful feather tail by Thanksgiving. The money raised from Tom’s feathers is donated to help families in need. In the past, donations have been made to Home for Little Wanders, Cambridge YWCA, East End House & Community Food Pantry.
This year’s Tom Turkey feathers will be on sale from November 3rd until November 25th and the money will be donated to a local food pantry. On Monday, November 25th Mayor David Maher came to the Morse to read the story of Tom Turkey to the students.
We are hoping that he’ll have even more this year! So please READ! READ! READ!
