Dear Morse School Community,
It is with mixed emotions that I write to share that I have accepted a new position with the Cambridge Public Schools as the district’s Director of Professional Learning & Leadership. I will step down as Principal of the Morse School at the end of this school year.
The decision to leave a school that I love has been a difficult one. Leading the Morse School over these last five years has been one of the great privileges of my career. It has been a joy to work with your children and an honor to serve alongside so many talented and dedicated educators. We have been through a lot together, and I will forever be grateful for your trust, support, and collaboration. As Director of Professional Learning & Leadership, I will work with educators and school leaders from across the district to strengthen the way we support the professional learning and growth of our teachers, leaders, and paraprofessionals. Part of my new role will be to make regular visits to CPS schools, and I look forward to maintaining a strong and positive connection to this wonderful Morse School community.
Tomorrow, the Office of Human Resources will share more information about the process for identifying a great principal to lead our school next year. I will do everything I can to ensure a smooth and positive transition and work hard until my last day as your principal to ensure that the Morse School continues to be a great place to learn and a great place to teach.
Sincerely,
Chad
