Dear Morse School Students and Families,

We are so excited about our Welcome Back Family Picnic tonight.  It is a wonderful opportunity to meet new families and catch up with familiar ones! We hope to see you and your families this evening from 5-7PM at the Morse playground.

Morse School Council
We are looking for parent/caregiver representatives on the Morse School Council. The School Council is a leadership group of parents and caregivers, teachers and staff, community members who meet with me each month to work towards school improvement. We are currently looking to fill 2 seats and are eager to identify candidates who represent the diverse backgrounds and experiences of our school community. Being a Morse School parent is the only qualification you need to be a candidate for the School Council! This year the city is also offering a $500 stipend for representatives.  The council will meet on the third Thursday of each month (with the exception of a couple dates) from 6-7:30PM on the following dates: 10/19, 11/16, /12/7, 1/18, 2/15, 3/21, 4/11, 5/16, 6/13. If you are interested in running for a seat, please send Family Liaison Amy Diaz ([email protected]) an email with the following information:

  • Your name and the grade level(s) of your child(ren);

  • Why you are interested in joining the School Council

Voting will take place through paper ballot at the September 28th Curriculum Night/Open House (each Morse School parent/guardian is eligible to vote).

September Reminders

Have a wonderful weekend!

Sincerely,
Samantha Headley
