During the month of May, JK & K students enjoyed two special events. First, we saw a live performance of, “A Year with Frog and Toad” at Wheelock Family Theatre. Students were excited to see: singing, dancing, costumes, scenery, and have course the actors portraying the beloved characters. A special thank you to Ms. Pennell in the library for helping to prepare students with readings and activities from the series, "Frog and Toad," by Arnold Lobel. This field trip was made possible by the generosity of The Friends of Morse.
The following week, we visited the Franklin Park Zoo. This has become an annual field trip for the JK & K classes. We all enjoyed the beautiful weather, observed familiar animals, and discovered new living organisms. The teachers were so proud of the Morse Students showing the Morse Code (To Be: Respectful, Responsible, Kind, Active Learners) and impressing others in the community during these special occasions. Way to go Morse JK & K children!!
