Message from Samantha Headley: May 22, 2026
Dear Morse School Community,
What a beautiful week we had celebrating our Morse artists! If you haven't had a chance, please make sure to visit Gallery 263 and see your child and all of our students work on display. The gallery is located at 263 Pearl Street and will be open until 5:30PM tonight and again tomorrow from 9-11AM (3D work will not be on display tomorrow). A huge thank you to our art teacher Aimee Kerr for creating this authentic opportunity for our students to truly see themselves as artists. We also appreciate the volunteers that were able to support the show.

Family District and School Survey

We know you receive a lot of surveys, but your feedback is absolutely critical to helping us improve and guide future decisions.
Currently, only 15% of our families have responded. We pride ourselves on the strong community culture here at Morse, so I want to offer a little incentive to get those numbers up!
If we reach a 95% family participation rate on the District and School Culture Survey by May 29, 2026, I will officially take a seat in the dunk tank on Field Day! Just think of the smiles and laughs that will bring to our students. Please, please, please, complete The District and School Culture Survey today and help send me into the tank!
All jokes aside, the feedback will inform decisions and contribute to the development of our new Strategic Plan.
-
Surveys are available in English, Arabic, Amharic, Bengali, Haitian Creole, and Spanish. You just need to select the language from the top left corner of the survey.
-
The survey will primarily be available online, however, paper copies are available upon request.
-
Families with more than one child in the district can take the survey for each child if they wish.
-
The survey takes approximately 10 minutes to complete and needs to be completed in a single sitting.
-
Families can skip questions, but need to submit the survey at the end.
-
Panorama safeguards privacy, keeping responses anonymous and confidential.
If you need any help, please reach out to Nancy Wyse, family liaison or Elaine Delaney, administrative assistant.

MassDOT Safe Routes to School Award
We are grateful to our crossing guards, Howard and Cheryl, for the work they do each day to help our community get to school safely. In fact, Cheryl has earned a 2026 Massachusetts Safe Routes to School Crossing Guard Award and we are thrilled to celebrate her!
MA Safe Routes to School will hold their Annual Awards Ceremony on Monday, June 1 at 10:30AM where Cheryl will be honored. We are hoping that some families would be able to join the ceremony to cheer her on. If you are available to celebrate her, please register here.
Caregiver Input on Classroom Placement for SY 26-27
On June 3rd, Morse School educators will be drafting class lists for the 2026-27 academic year. Our goal is to build balanced classrooms that support every student's social and academic growth. We prioritize peer dynamics and learning styles when forming these cohorts. Because of the complexity of this process, we cannot accept requests for specific teachers. While this form is optional, we welcome your insights into your child’s needs to help us find the best fit for them. This form is due by Friday, May 29th, 2026.
