Dear Morse School Community,

Just a few more weeks of winter but it has been a tricky season! With a short week of school, we had a lot to catch up on but we tried to have fun in the snow!

Livestream

This morning on our weekly Livestream we celebrated Black History Month with students sharing their research and learning from African, African American, and Afro-Caribbean stories, histories, accomplishments, and voices.

Highlights included Lewis Howard Latimer, Granville T. Woods, Donald Crews, Nina Simone, George Washington Carver, Madam C.J. Walker, Rosa Parks, and many more!

Read Across America Week

Next week is Read Across America Week! Here are a few ways we plan to celebrate: 

• Each morning there will be book related trivia questions during the morning announcements. 

• Students will select a new-to-them book from some family and staff donations and receive a bookmark during their library class.

• Friday we will have cozy clothes day and Book Buddies in the morning.
