Dear Morse School Community,
It was a beautiful end to our week at Morse School! This morning we enjoyed the beautiful voices of our kindergarten to fourth grade students during our Winter Concert. A big thank you to Ms. Graeber and Ms. Ovstrovksy-Kaminsky for their musical leadership with our students. Fifth grade families, be prepared to be impressed with our fifth grade students at their instrumental concert in the spring!
Girls on the Run for Grades 3-5
Looking to make an impact? Serve as a coach with Girls on the Run at Morse! The season will tentatively begin the week of March 30th and culminate with the regional Celebratory 5K tentatively on Saturday, May 31st, or Sunday, June 1st. Parent SooJin Chu (parent of Edith and Cora) will be one of the coaches and we are looking for 1 more volunteer coach to help lead the team. Coaches will be trained and you do not need to be a runner or an athlete! You do need to be available for practice 2x/week for 75/90 minutes for the 8-week season (Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:45-4:15). This is a great way to build confidence, create healthy habits and social emotional skills in our girls. Attached is a GOTR Curriculum Sample Lesson of the curriculum to give you a sense of the practices. If your 3rd-5th grader is interested, please sign up using this QR code:

CPP Read, Sing, Create Event
Please join us on Friday, May 2nd for a CPP exclusive event. Morse librarian, Ms. Pennell, music teacher, Ms. Graeber and art teacher, Ms. Kerr have organized an evening of fun for families. The main event is from 5:30 - 6:30pm but you are welcome to come at 5pm and bring a picnic (or pizza for purchase from FMS). It is a fabulous way to mingle with other CPP families and get to see what your preschoolers have been doing in art, music, and library.
UPDATE: Morse Kindergarten - 5th Grade Paint Night
We are excited to have our annual Paint Night facilitated by Morse Art Teacher, Aimee Kerr on Friday, February 7th from 6-8pm. Come create a step by step painting together in the style of Vincent van Goh. Every child & grown-up will each create their own painting! This event is only for Kindergarten-5th grade students and a grown-up. To allow the most families possible, please consider just 1 grown-up per family. We have a limit of 100 seats in the cafeteria. Painting side by side is a fun bonding experience for the family and the school community! This event is free and all paint supplies will be provided. Registration will be via this Google form. Email any questions to Aimee Kerr, Morse Art Teacher, at [email protected].
