Back in April, Kristen Middleton, the Sustainability Manager for Cambridge Public Schools asked that every classroom and staff member participate in the Go Green Challenge. The Go Green Challenge is simply a sheet that asks how each classroom recycles and conserves energy. Kristen and Meryl Brott, the Recycling Program Manager for the City of Cambridge, went around to every school and tallied the sheets. On May 30th, this email was sent:

“Thank you to all the elementary classrooms that participated in the annual Go Green Challenge 2017 this spring, and CONGRATULATIONS to these winning schools for the greatest percentage of classroom participation!

First Place - Morse School
Second Place - Tobin Montessori School
Third Place - Fletcher Maynard Academy”

This makes the second year in a row that the Morse School has come in first place. We will be receiving a new trophy for our display case that is made of recycled materials.
