Dear Morse School Community,
We had a busy week at Morse and are ending the month of October with some silly hat fun!. We hope everyone has an enjoyable weekend and remembers to turn your clocks back one hour as Daylight Savings Time will end.
Morse Community Live Stream
This week we highlighted our Morse Mosaic Mural Project and got to see the creative process in action. Check out this video to see our wonderful community event!
In anticipation of Election Day. We announced our very own process for selecting students to join our Morse Student Council. The Morse School Student Council will consist of students from Grades 3rd-5th. However, it is important to note that these students will represent all of the students in our school community which is tremendously diverse. Everyone’s thoughts and opinions are important. The purpose of the Student Council is to give students at Morse more voice in the decision making that affects the school community. We also hope to continue to build a stronger sense of community amongst students, continue to develop a positive Morse School experience and provide students leadership opportunities.
International Festival & Potluck
On November 14th from 6 - 8PM our school community will celebrate our yearly International Festival & Potluck Celebration. In order to highlight and acknowledge our school’s diversity and the many rich cultures and traditions that make our school special, we are inviting each Morse School family to design your own family flag! You can do it ahead of time or you and your family can complete it during the celebration.
FMS is in search of volunteers for the Morse School’s annual International Festival & Potluck! Please take a look at the many volunteer opportunities or create your own! There are so many ways to get involved. Feel free to reach out to Hannah Hinzman with questions [email protected]. Here is the VOLUNTEER SIGN-UP.

Counselor’s Corner — from Mr. Nathan
As the days get shorter and the school year gets busier, it’s a great time to remember the power of a good night’s sleep! Consistent bedtime routines help kids wind down, feel safe, and be ready to learn and play their best the next day. Simple habits—like turning off screens a little earlier, reading together, or doing a quick “rose and thorn” of the day—can make bedtime smoother and more meaningful. A calm, predictable nighttime routine doesn’t just support sleep—it builds emotional security and helps mornings start on the right foot. Sweet dreams, Morse community!
Morse Caregiver Literacy Workshop
Join us on November 19th from 6 - 7PM in the Morse Library for an evening filled with grammar and vocabulary! Caregivers will take away some playful activities to encourage language development at home. This workshop is designed to support our family engagement goals of supporting students at home and building a stronger partnership with school.
