Happy Friday and Happy October! Although we had a shorter week, it was certainly full of learning and excitement!
Back to School Night
We had a successful evening with families on Tuesday. If you have additional questions or were not able to attend and would like the resources, please reach out to your child's teacher. In addition, if you are interested in being a classroom connector for your child's homeroom, pleasereach out to Amelia Eichen, FMS Chair of the Classroom Connectors Program ([email protected]).
Monday Clubs for Grades 3-5
Monday clubs were such a big hit last year that they are back! We are going to be able to offer five rounds of clubs this year and the first round will begin on October 19th. Snacks will be provided and there is a late bus available for students who live more than a mile from Morse. If your child is interested and can commit to all the dates, please complete thisformby noon on Wednesday, October 15th. We will confirm with families by October 17th.

Livestream
During this week's Morse LiveStream, we celebrated our community and highlighted the Morse Code of being: kind, inclusive, responsible, and active learners. Our 4th Grade swim program was showcased where students are being responsible and active learners in the pool. Students are encouraging each other to accomplish their personal swim goals!
Next,Ms. Pennell enlisted some 4th graders to help record one of her favorite books about community and gathering—a story many Morse students will recognize from their annual Kindergarten author/illustrator study on Oge Mora. Special thanks to students in Room E8 for helping to readThank You, Omu!.
We ended the segment with a community wide sing-along of ourMorse School Song. We look forward to more opportunities to acknowledge all the positive and creative accomplishments in our Morse community.
