Dear Morse School Community,
After a very busy Thursday celebrating Diwali, Halloween and Silly Hat Day, we are all so grateful it is Friday! Here's what's been going on at Morse this week!
CHAMPS
We are thrilled to have the CHAMPS program working with our fifth graders for the next several weeks. CHAMPS is a program developed by Athletes for Hope (AFH). AFH is a national nonprofit dedicated to empowering professional, Olympic, Paralympic, and collegiate athletes to make a positive social impact in their communities. Each week, students will engage in tasks focused on the CHAMPS core practices: courage, honesty, accountability, mindfulness, positivity, and strength. We are appreciative of the collaboration between our PE Teacher, Phil Fousek and our School Counselor, Nathan Clark for bringing this opportunity to our fifth grade students.
Live Stream
On today's Live Stream, in celebration of Diwali, several students shared the traditions their families have during this Festival of Lights celebration. We also heard from a staff member who will be voting for the first time in a federal election this Tuesday and we announced the SY 24-25 Student Council members who were elected by their peers.
This year's Student Council Members are:
