Information on the Morse School Principal Search
Posted on 01/30/2018
Below is the information on how you may get involved in the process of helping select the new Principal:

1. All Morse community members are encouraged to fill out the Community Survey on Principal Leadership. It is available online or by paper copy, available in the front lobby of the Morse School. The survey results will be shared with the search committee, as well as the Superintendent so that they will know the priorities of the community when making their decisions.

2. Volunteer to be considered for the Morse School Search Committee. There will be four parent/guardian representatives and five staff representatives. The search committee must be available on both Thursday February 15th from 8:30AM until 12Noon and then on February 27th from 8:30AM until 4:30PM. (Childcare will be provided if you are selected and need coverage.)

We will be looking for a diverse representation of both staff and parents on the committee including various grade levels, length of years at the school, and ethnicities to make sure our whole community is as represented as possible. If you would like to be considered for this important committee please either call Miss Pat Beggy at 617.349.6571 or email her by Wednesday January 31st and let her know your name and contact information. You will be notified by Monday February 5th if you are selected.

3. Attend the Morse School Council meeting on Wednesday February 7th at 6:30PM to work on possible questions for the candidates. The meeting will be held in the Morse library from 6:30 to 8PM and childcare will be provided.

Choosing the next Principal is very important. Please choose one of the way listed above to join us in this so that we may all work together to secure the best possible future leader for all members of the Morse School community.
