Using June’s Core Virtue of Wisdom and the alphabet, students in Junior Kindergarten and Kindergarten created a list of things that were important to them this past school year.
A is for apples. Miss Pat and Mr. Mili bring apples on Fridays. All students earned fruit for showing the Morse Code and Core Virtues.
B is for butterflies. We observed caterpillars change into beautiful butterflies.
C is for crayons. We color with crayons to make things look nice.
D is for Dramatic Play. We had fun pretending to go on vacations, to the beach, to the store, on a picnic and a rocket ship!
E is for eagle. Our school mascot is the Morse Eagle.
F is for fun. We have fun at school all day long.
G is for guppies. We watched the guppies grow and eat the water plants.
H is for hello. We say hello to our friends and teachers each morning.
I is for Ipads. We use Ipads to practice math and literacy.
J is for jackets. We had many times to practice zipping our jackets this winter.
K is for kindness. We treat others with kindness.
L is for Listening Larry. He helped us to learn ‘ Whole Body Listening’.
M is for math. We worked in math stations to build, count, sort, and solve math problems.
N is for new friends. We met many new friends this school year.
O is for outside. We used the swings, slides, structure, balls, jump ropes, stompers, and chalk outside at recess.
P is for pizza. On Fridays, you can get pizza for lunch.
Q is for questions. We asked many questions and got a lot of answers.
R is for running. We run in P.E. class.
S is for seeds. We planted many types of seeds and watched the plants grow.
T is for toys. We use toys at Choice Time.
U is for use. We use kind words and friendly actions.
V is for very. We ate very healthy snacks and tried new foods.
W is for writing. We wrote many stories.
X is for Expected. It starts with ‘E’ but you hear the ‘X’. Expected behavior helps us learn and play.
Y is for you’re. Mrs. Graeber taught us the song, “You’re A Grand Old Flag”.
Z is for zoo. We went on a field trip to the Franklin Park Zoo.
