Posted on 02/29/2016
Dear Morse School Community,

I am very pleased to announce that Ms. Samantha Headley has been chosen as the new Assistant Principal of the Morse School. Ms. Headley received her Bachelor of Education from Queens University in Canada, her Masters in Education from Harvard University, and completed the program for her administrative license through the Massachusetts Elementary School Principal's Association.

Ms. Headley has been a staff member at the Morse School since 2006, first as a grade 1 teacher and for the past several years in the position of Literacy Coach. Beyond the classroom and her coaching position, many parents and guardians will be familiar with her work over the years at parent workshops, summer academic program, and literacy carnivals. In addition, Ms. Headley has been part of the School Improvement Council, the Morse Instructional Leadership Team, and the Morse Literacy Leadership Team. In her years here, Samantha has shown herself to be an active, dedicated member of the Morse staff in many different ways.

Ms. Headley will start her tenure as the Assistant Principal beginning February 22, 2016. As with any new position there will be a transition period and an adjustment to her new role. I have every bit of confidence that she will do an excellent job and that the transition will be a smooth one. Please welcome her as her responsibilities and job description changes and give her support in the days, weeks, and months ahead.

Sincerely,

Patricia Beggy, M. Ed.
